Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has alleged that the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari revoked his business interests due to political disagreements. Speaking at a world press conference where he discussed his discovery of President Bola Tinubu’s academic records at Chicago State University (CSU) in Abuja, Atiku, who is also the presidential candidate of the PDP in the 2023 general election, addressed concerns about the potential impact of his political advocacy on his business interests. He stated, “I was the founder of one of the largest logistics companies since the military era, and as soon as Buhari came into power, even though we had licenses and were not involved with the government, we were just contractors for oil companies.”

Atiku continued, “As soon as Buhari came to power, all those contracts were revoked and taken away from us, and this situation persists to this day. So, I am not engaged in any government-related business. I am not concerned about losing any business, as it has already been taken away from me during the Buhari administration. They took it and redistributed it among themselves.”
