Chicago University Records: Shittu Asserts Atiku’s Petition Against Tinubu Is Invalid....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Wahab Shittu, has presented reasons for his belief that Atiku Abubakar’s petition against President Bola Tinubu in the 2023 People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate has crumbled.

The lawyer’s remarks were made in response to the release of President Tinubu’s academic records by Chicago State University (CSU), as mandated by Justice Nancy Maldonado of the Northern District of Illinois Court, USA. Shittu asserted that these records provide further confirmation of Tinubu’s qualifications.

He argued that Atiku’s aim was to disqualify Tinubu from the race, potentially leading to his own declaration as the winner, as he had finished second in the February 25 elections. However, Shittu believes that the inquiries into Tinubu’s academic records have closed the case for the PDP candidate.

In Shittu’s opinion, CSU has validated Tinubu’s attendance at the institution and the issuance of authentic certificates to him. He emphasized that these certificates meet the constitutional requirement for presidential qualification, which is at least a school certificate or its equivalent.

Regarding CSU’s claim that it does not keep duplicate copies of issued certificates, Shittu regarded this as an administrative matter beyond President Tinubu’s control.

He also pointed out that the case of forgery against President Tinubu has not been substantiated and has collapsed.

In summary, Shittu believes that all the issues raised against Tinubu by Atiku have been resolved in favor of the President. According to Shittu, Tinubu is qualified to run for the presidency, did not forge a CSU certificate, and did attend Chicago State University. Shittu concluded that Atiku’s primary aim was to disqualify Tinubu to assume the presidential seat, but this has been disproven.
