Mrs. Ojo, accompanied by a significant contingent representing the protesters, appealed to the lawmakers for their intervention in the alleged mysterious death, with the objective of securing justice.
Addressing the House members on behalf of Speaker Mudashiru Obasa, she remarked, “It is common knowledge that Lagos residents are demanding justice in the case of Mr. Ireoluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, who passed away under unclear circumstances.”
She continued, “Mohbad had shared videos depicting the challenges he faced after leaving the record label he was previously associated with. Despite the ongoing investigation by the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State into the cause of his mysterious death, we are seeking justice.”
Deputy Majority Leader of the House, Adedamola Kasunmu, expressed gratitude to the demonstrators for their peaceful approach in bringing their concerns to the State House of Assembly. He assured them that their appeal would be presented before the Speaker.
Kasunmu stated, “During the recent plenary session, several issues were raised, including that of Mr. Adebola Bright, the individual with missing intestines, and it is regrettable that he passed away yesterday. We also discussed the demise of Mohbad, and I can assure you that we will allow the legal process to unfold.”
He concluded, “Let us await the results of the investigations being conducted by the Chief of Police, and we will take appropriate action based on those findings.” Other members of the House who welcomed the protesters included Sylvester Ogunkelu, Ajani Owolabi, and Rasheed Shabi.

Political Witch-Hunt Exposed: Atiku Fires Back At Fresh EFCC Probe Demands Ahead Of 2027.
Atiku Abubakar, the presidential flagbearer of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the 2027 elections, has strongly dismissed demands by Ntufam Hilliard Eta—a former APC National Vice Chairman (South-South)—and other critics calling on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate him. Speaking through his media aide, Paul Ibe, the former vice president labeled the renewed calls a transparent political witch-hunt orchestrated by an incumbent administration feeling threatened by opposition. Atiku pointed out that his financial records had already been rigorously scrutinized and cleared during the tenure of former President Olusegun Obasanjo.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
In a separate development, Atiku strongly condemned the violent disruption directed at the convoy of Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate Peter Obi during his trip to Benue State. Obi’s convoy was physically obstructed by a group of youths near the Nigerian Air Force Base along the Makurdi-Gboko highway as he attempted to visit the Yelwata community to offer condolences to victims of recent violence.
Through his campaign spokesperson, Kenneth Okonkwo, Atiku branded the incident shameful, undemocratic, and unacceptable, demanding that security forces and government authorities promptly investigate the matter to ensure the perpetrators face justice and to safeguard the freedom of political leaders. The blockade had earlier been highlighted online by Obi’s media aide, Esther Umoh, prompting widespread condemnation from opposition figures regarding political intolerance and insecurity in the region.

YouTube Panic Unmasked: Kunle Afolayan Slams Creators Rushing Online And Predicts Massive Dollar Crash.
Renowned Nigerian filmmaker Kunle Afolayan has weighed in on the increasing trend of Nollywood producers utilizing YouTube as a primary streaming platform, arguing it is a temporary and reactive measure driven by Nigeria’s current economic climate. In an interview on the Nidacity Podcast with former Finance Minister Kemi Adeosun, Afolayan contended that filmmakers are “rushing to YouTube because of the dollar exchange rate,” rather than strategic long-term planning.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
While acknowledging YouTube as an accessible and flexible “starting point” for beginners or those lacking the leverage to access major platforms like Netflix or Prime Video, Afolayan was critical of viewing it as a legitimate long-term alternative to premium streaming services. He stated clearly, “YouTube can never give you what Netflix and Prime would give you.”
Afolayan provided a stark economic breakdown of the trend, suggesting that profitability on YouTube is currently inflated by the weak naira. He explained that with the exchange rate at approximately ₦1,400 to $1, securing 1 million views translates to a significant income of about $10,000. However, he predicted a mass exodus from the platform if the currency stabilizes. “If the dollar falls to ₦200, everyone will run away from YouTube,” Afolayan stated.
Concluding his remarks, the filmmaker emphasized that while he understands the current economic necessity for many producers, he ultimately hopes for a stronger naira, saying, “I pray the dollar-to-naira exchange rate comes down.”
