The Kano state government has grand plans in store for this year’s International Peace Day, set to take place on September 21.
Baba Halilu Dantiye, the Commissioner of Information and Internal Affairs for the state, has reiterated Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s unwavering commitment to maintaining peace, order, and the security of residents and their property.

Dantiye conveyed this message during a meeting with members of the Committee for International Peace Day and the launch of Peace Magazine, led by Comrade Hisham Habib, Managing Director of Radio Kano.
According to a statement from Sani Abba Yola, the Director of Special Duties at the Ministry of Information, Dantiye emphasized that the state government is fully dedicated to ensuring peace and harmony within the state.
Dantiye elaborated, stating, “It is the responsibility of every government to provide security and safeguard the lives and property of its citizens. The state government will spare no effort in fostering and promoting peace throughout the state.”
He pledged his support to the Committee in organizing a successful International Peace Day, an event observed worldwide to reinforce the principles of peaceful coexistence.
Hisham Habib, the Chairman of the Committee, noted that their mandate includes organizing International Peace Day in the state and launching Peace Magazine, both scheduled for September 21, 2023.
The Chairman, represented by Babangida Mahmuda Biyamusu, the Vice Chairman of the Committee, expressed gratitude to Dantiye for the support and collaboration extended to the Committee in achieving its objectives.
