“Last year, we hosted a sold-out show at the Fridge Concert series in Dubai, so we are confident that music lovers in Abuja and indeed across Nigeria will have a truly memorable experience,” Salako expressed.
In addition to organizing the festival, Salako will be showcasing songs from his latest project, ‘3 Fathers 1 Child,’ featuring an EP of five tracks, as well as songs from his upcoming album.
Regarding his music, he explained, “My music is a rich fusion of Jazz and African cultural music, incorporating Yoruba folk songs. I am eager to share these musical delights and more at the Abuja Afrojazz festival.”
With over 15 years of experience in the music industry, Salako began as a studio background vocalist before becoming a backup singer for various artists. He attributes much of his musical growth to his university fellowship choir, where he learned to play instruments.
Salako’s expertise extends beyond stage performances; he writes most of his songs and arranges various musical components, opening doors for numerous collaboration opportunities. Recently, he directed two live recording projects in Abuja, highlighting his multifaceted musical talents.
Other outstanding artists scheduled to perform at the festival include A’Sian, Fewa, Fade De Great, Afro4Band, and many more.
The event will be held at the Jabi Boat Club in Abuja, promising an unforgettable musical experience for attendees.
