Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has given his approval for a Supplementary Budget of N300.6 billion for the year 2023. The primary focus of this budget is to tackle insecurity, alleviate poverty, and extend assistance to the less fortunate individuals throughout the state.

The announcement was made through a statement released on Sunday by Governor Radda’s spokesperson, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed. The Katsina State House of Assembly, under the leadership of Speaker Rt. Hon Nasir Yahya Daura, presented the 2023 Supplementary Appropriation Budget to Governor Radda at the Katsina State Government House. Speaker Daura was accompanied by his Deputy, Rt. Hon Abduljalal Haruna Runka, and House Leader Hon. Shamsudeen Abubakar Dabai (Ciroman Dabai), along with other members of the legislature.

In the statement, Governor Radda’s spokesperson highlighted that “this significant move underscores the government’s unwavering commitment to the well-being of its citizens and its firm determination to create a safer and more prosperous environment for all residents.”

Governor Radda expressed optimism that this initiative will play a substantial role in advancing the state’s development and ensuring a brighter future for all its inhabitants. He commended the legislative arm for their diligent efforts in crafting the budget and emphasized the critical importance of unity and cooperation in realizing the objectives outlined in the Supplementary Budget.
