Kidnapper Attracts a Five-Year-old With sweet and Murders Him for recognizing Him.

Police in Bauchi State have detained a 25-year-old man for allegedly killing a five-year-old boy.
Anas Auwal, the suspect, allegedly enticed the kid with sweets and led him to his room.
He later phoned the boy’s father and wanted a N5 million ransom, which the father was unable to pay.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Ahmed Wakil, a Superintendent of Police, said the suspect hacked the youngster to death after realizing he recognized him.
He said that the state’s Commissioner of Police, Umar Sanda, had ordered that the suspect be charged.

“The command has apprehended Anas Auwal, 25, from Tsangaya village via Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State for kidnapping and horrific murder of a five-year-old boy, Abba Yahuza, of the same address,” according to the statement.

“A preliminary investigation found that on October 11, 2022, around 2 p.m., the defendant enticed the victim into his room with sweets.”

He later phoned the victim’s father and threatened him with bringing N5m as ransom, but the father warned him that he could not raise the amount asked.
“The suspect eventually realized that the victim knew him and that if he freed him, his identity would be revealed.”

“As a result, the suspect decided to hack the victim to death in his room, wait until it was dark, then bundle him in a sack and bury the body in a small hole.”
