Obi promises to end farmer-herder conflicts and address poverty.

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s  presidential Candidate, launched his formal campaign in Nasarawa State on Saturday. If elected president in 2023, he pledged to put a stop to the ongoing conflicts between farmers and herders.
Obi also promised to address youth unemployment and rising poverty by offering a long-term solution to these problems.
Speaking during the campaign in Lafia, he bemoaned that Nigerians were suffering as a result of the type of leaders holding public office. He added that if he were to win the 2023 presidential election, the cost of food and other marketable products would go down.

“We will remove youths out of poverty. We will reduce criminality. We will solve the flood problem ravaging the country. The prices of goods will come down and there would be no challenges of food in the country. When the LP wins, there will no more be a strike in the Nigerian universities. The government will comprise youths and women. We will provide fertiliser to farmers across the nation,” he added.

For his part, Julius Abure, the party’s national chairman, charged that both the PDP and the APC had betrayed the people and the country.
“We must change the APC and PDP in the 2023 elections,” he declared.
