“One of the cars crashed into the wall with its bonnet as the car behind it jammed it, but there was no trace of an accident. The fact that the vehicles were deserted convinces us that it was a kidnapping.

Initially, we tought that it was robbery, but it was not. We ought to have observed the victims of the robbery. When my car arrived, no one was there at the location. The witness claimed that as they left the area, they noticed some hunters and vigilantes making their way towards the scene of the crime.
Olayinka Olayanju, the state’s Amotekun Commandant, denied knowing anything about the most recent kidnapping when he was called.
He said, “I am not aware of such development. There is no way such a thing would happen and we won’t be informed. Such thing is strange to me. I will find out and get back to you.”
