Yemi, who previously served as an assistant to former head coach Finidi George, has assumed the role of head coach for the remainder of the season.
Atule believes that Yemi’s appointment will ensure continuity within the club and is optimistic about his leadership.
He urged his teammates to support the young tactician and work together towards achieving their goal of retaining the NPFL title.
While acknowledging the departure of Finidi George, Atule expressed well wishes for him in his new role and emphasized Yemi’s capabilities as a coach.
“Coach Yemi is also a very good tactician; he encourages us players a lot and I am sure he will help us achieve our goal of defending the NPFL title,” Atule stated during a live session on his social media handle.
“He will move on from where coach Finidi stopped because they have worked together for long, so we are hopeful.”
Atule’s endorsement reflects the team’s confidence in Yemi’s leadership and signals unity within the Enyimba camp as they continue their pursuit of success in the NPFL.
