Speaking to journalists at the party secretariat in Birnin Kebbi on Friday, Acting APC Chairman Adamu Mudi Augi maintained that the state’s developmental strides speak for themselves. His remarks come on the heels of inquiries made by the ADC regarding the implementation of the state’s 2025 budget, specifically pointing to variances between projected and actual financial figures.
Defending the administration’s track record, Augi highlighted several key projects across various sectors:

Education: Pointing to school rehabilitations, the establishment of science and skills boarding schools, teacher recruitment, and textbook distributions.

Healthcare: Noting hospital and primary healthcare center upgrades alongside the recruitment of additional medical personnel.

Housing & Agriculture: Mentioning the construction of the 250-unit Kauran Gwandu Housing Estate and robust support for farmers through fertilizer, seed, and solar-powered irrigation pump distributions.
Previously, the Kebbi State government dismissed allegations of financial mismanagement tied to its ₦580.33 billion 2025 budget. Clarifying the numbers, the government explained that discrepancies between projected and actual revenues stemmed from unrealized funds rather than missing money, noting that adjustments were made following revenue shortfalls to record a total expenditure of nearly ₦240 billion—with over ₦152 billion channeled directly into capital projects.
Challenging the opposition to pivot toward constructive dialogue, Augi urged them to engage with reality on the ground.
“Let them debate performance, not invent a fiscal mystery. The people of Kebbi can see the projects and assess the impact of the government’s programmes for themselves,” Augi stated.
