According to Naija News, the conflict originated from a public dispute involving Davido’s personal streamer, Davrel, who claimed Carter Efe stated Phyna was of no benefit and alleged that Phyna made sexual advances toward him while asking to be linked with his father.

During a social media confrontation between Carter Efe and Phyna, Carter explicitly claimed they had sex and threatened to bring out evidence, prompting Phyna to warn that both he and Davrel would hear from her lawyer.
Public Apology and Shift to Legal Action

During an Instagram Live session on Thursday night, Phyna apologized to her fans and announced that she has officially taken legal action against both Davrel and Carter Efe.

Phyna stated that while she has endured various forms of online criticism in the past, attacks regarding her personal and sexual life crossed the line and forced her to change how she handles public disputes.

Explaining that her emotional rants often overshadowed the original offense and made her look like the wrongdoer, she announced the end of her old style of responding and stated that Carter Efe and Davrel had already been served via email and WhatsApp.

Shortly after her announcement, Carter Efe released a video online confirming that he had indeed been served with the ₦500 million lawsuit.
