Lami Calista, mother of Big Brother Naija All Stars winner, Ilebaye Odiniya, has alleged that her ex-husband expelled their daughter from his home and demanded ₦30 million before agreeing to let her return.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Calista made the allegation in a video shared on social media, where she addressed a viral recording in which she appeared to disown her daughter.

In the earlier clip, Lami was heard expressing anger at her daughter and warning her never to contact her again.

“Ilebaye don’t look for me… if I die today, you contributed to my death… I disown you today,” she said in the recording.

However, Calista later clarified that the video had been misunderstood, insisting it was part of a planned act between her and Ilebaye due to ongoing family disputes.

She explained that tensions within the family escalated after repeated accusations that Ilebaye was the one responsible for her leaving her husband’s house.

According to her, the situation worsened when her ex-husband allegedly insisted that Ilebaye leave the house as well, and demanded ₦30 million before allowing her return.

She further claimed she pleaded with him to accept their daughter back, promising that the money would be sorted out later.

Calista also appealed to Nigerians not to judge her daughter, insisting that Ilebaye has been going through serious personal and family struggles away from the public eye.

She said the reality star has been under emotional stress and would not have been able to cope without seeking help during difficult moments.

The development comes shortly after reports that the Federal Capital Territory Police Command arrested Emmanuel Odiniya over an alleged assault on Ilebaye at a residence in Wuye, Abuja.

Nollywood actor Lanre Adediwura has opened up about the financial struggles he faced after starring in MultiChoice’s television series Wura, revealing that the project left him in a difficult economic position before YouTube eventually helped him regain stability.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Speaking during an interview on TVC Entertainment, the actor explained why he turned down an opportunity to return to the series, stating that despite the visibility the role brought him, it did not provide the financial rewards he had expected.

According to him, his involvement in the production restricted him from taking on other acting opportunities that could have significantly boosted his career.

Lanre disclosed that after leaving Wura, he found himself spending more than he earned and battled severe financial hardship for months.

He said the experience was so challenging that within six months of exiting the show, his situation had deteriorated drastically, adding that YouTube projects eventually became his major source of financial recovery.

While acknowledging that the role gave him recognition and some personal fulfillment, he claimed that several promises made during negotiations were not fully honoured.

He further revealed that before joining the project, he was assured that he would not need to worry about missing other opportunities, but the demanding 11-month shooting schedule prevented him from participating in outside productions.

One of the biggest losses he mentioned was missing out on a role in House of Gaa.

According to Lanre, he had already worked on the project by translating it from English to Yoruba and was originally slated to play Alaafin Abiodun, but his commitment to Wura made it impossible.

Despite his revelations, the actor maintained that speaking out would not create legal issues, insisting that he contributed unique creative elements and signature nuances to the show that are still being used.

Ekubo reportedly passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026, after a prolonged battle with cancer.

The actor was diagnosed with stage four liver cancer in 2024 and later underwent a transplant. However, his condition reportedly worsened in 2026 when his liver failed again, leading to severe complications. He died hours after being placed on life support.
