Former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose has declared that although he remains a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), he will actively support the re-election bids of Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji in the June 2026 governorship election and President Bola Tinubu in 2027.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Fayose made the statement on Wednesday in Ado-Ekiti during the grand finale of Governor Oyebanji’s campaign tour ahead of the June 20 gubernatorial poll.

The former governor explained that despite his continued membership in the PDP, he and several like-minded party members have resolved to back Oyebanji and Tinubu, both of whom belong to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He justified his stance by praising the performance of both leaders, insisting that their achievements in office deserve continuity.

According to Fayose, there is currently no opposition strong enough to rival what Oyebanji and Tinubu have delivered.

He noted that his public endorsement of Oyebanji is rooted in the governor’s leadership qualities and developmental strides across Ekiti State.

Fayose said PDP supporters played a crucial role in Tinubu’s emergence and were also instrumental in Oyebanji’s initial victory, adding that the same support would secure another win for the governor.

He assured Oyebanji of unwavering backing from his political camp, stressing that sustaining the governor’s “good work” is a priority.

Fayose also openly endorsed Oyebanji for a second term through 2030, saying he was speaking not just personally but alongside other former governors who share the same vision.

He further described the upcoming Ekiti governorship election as a major political test for President Tinubu, adding that the target of delivering 500,000 votes is aimed at proving Ekiti’s readiness to support Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.

Guardiola Admits Title Race Out Of City’s Hands, Foden Warns of Final-Day Twist.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has admitted that his team’s Premier League title hopes are no longer in their hands, despite a dominant 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace on Wednesday night.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Goals from Antoine Semenyo, Omar Marmoush, and Savinho helped City close the gap to two points behind Arsenal with two games left in the season.

City will face Bournemouth and Aston Villa in their remaining fixtures, while Arsenal take on Burnley and Crystal Palace.

Reflecting on the title race, Guardiola said it now depends entirely on Arsenal’s results.

“If they win two games, nothing to do, nothing to talk. All we can be is in there just in case. The last two games are tough,” he said.

City’s attention will now briefly turn to Saturday’s FA Cup final against Chelsea.

Meanwhile, midfielder Phil Foden, who delivered a standout performance against Palace, believes the title race could still go down to the final day.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Foden, who provided assists for Semenyo and Marmoush, praised the team’s collective effort in securing the win before Savinho sealed the result after a strong run from Rayan Cherki boosted City’s goal difference.

“It’s a team game at the end of the day, if you want to win titles and trophies it’s about a full squad and everyone playing their part,” Foden said.

“The aim is to keep pushing and keep them on their toes. We’ve seen a lot of things can happen on the final day. I’ve experienced it many times when the game doesn’t go your way,” he added.

Controversial relationship expert, Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has reacted angrily to social media users who mocked her and suggested that her life should be exchanged for that of Nollywood actor, Alex Ekubo.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

News reports that Alex Ekubo reportedly passed away on May 11, 2026, after complications arising from advanced metastatic kidney cancer.

Following the news of his death, some users flooded Blessing CEO’s Instagram page with insulting comments, with a few suggesting that she should have died instead of the actor.

In a video shared on her social media page, Blessing CEO condemned the remarks, describing them as cruel and insensitive, especially given the circumstances of the actor’s death.

She questioned what she described as public hypocrisy, where people show sympathy only after someone dies but often attack and bully them while they are alive.

“How do you people sympathize with the de@d but b#lly the living? Each time someone passes away and I see how people become suddenly sympathetic, I’m always surprised. If you read the comments people make when the person is alive, you’ll be shocked. Some people were even saying things like ‘God should take Blessing CEO and give us Alexx Ekubo.’ God will punish u all!

“And for those saying his family kept everything off social media, if his pictures had been posted while he was sick, the same people would still have mocked him and said all sorts of things,” she said.

The backlash against Blessing CEO is linked to a past controversy in March, when she falsely claimed she was battling stage 4 cancer and also made claims involving the medical records of a cancer survivor.

The incident sparked widespread criticism and calls for her arrest over what many described as a fabricated story.
