According to Nivo News, the organizers of Big Brother Naija have announced that no contestant will be leaving the reality show in Week 5 following the cancellation of all nominations. The announcement was made on Monday evening when housemates gathered in the sitting room for the usual nomination process, where each contestant was required to nominate two fellow housemates for possible eviction. However, the evening took an unexpected turn when Rooboy, the Head of House, was instructed to draw from the Tree of Trinkets. His selection granted him the power to nullify all nominations, effectively guaranteeing safety for everyone in the house. Big Brother confirmed the twist, explaining that no housemate would be evicted that week. The announcement was met with cheers and applause as contestants celebrated their continued stay in the game.

In a separate development, Nigerian gospel artist Akinade Ibuoye, popularly known as Gaise Baba, has stated that drinking alcohol is not inherently sinful. Speaking during an episode of the Blackfame Podcast, the No Turning Back crooner described alcohol consumption as a potential hindrance or “weight” in life rather than a moral transgression.
