According to reports, the actress made this revelation during a recent episode of Curiosity Made Me Ask, hosted by content creator Bae U Barbie.

Nkechi explained that the generous gesture from the anonymous benefactor was a turning point for her.

“Someone anonymously put me on a ₦1 million weekly salary because I wasn’t getting paid enough for movie roles — that’s why I took a break from acting. I can shoot a movie and still not make up to ₦1 million profit from it,” she said.

When asked if the benefactor’s identity is still unknown, Nkechi simply replied,

“It’s not your business.”

In a separate development, actress Blessing Nze recounted a painful experience early in her career when a respected Nollywood director bluntly told her she was “too ugly to be in front of the camera.”

She shared this in an interview with Saturday PUNCH while reflecting on her journey in the film industry.

Abdullahi stated that the surge in registrations became noticeable after INEC’s decision affecting David Mark, noting that many Nigerians now have a clearer understanding of ongoing political developments.

The development comes amid an ongoing leadership crisis within the ADC, with factions led by Nafiu Bala and David Mark both laying claim to the party’s structure.

The dispute, which dates back to July 2025 following the emergence of an opposition coalition, has resulted in prolonged legal battles.
