The legal team, operating under the banner of Due Process Advocates (DPA), said it reached the decision following sustained hostility and harassment from individuals believed to be staunch supporters of Queen May herself.

In a public statement obtained by , the group explained that the toxic behavior of some members of the so‑called “May Nation” has created an environment that is no longer ethically or operationally viable for effective representation.

DPA noted that the aggressive conduct of these supporters has undermined their ability to concentrate on the core mission of challenging May’s known adversaries. The situation, they added, mirrors the verbal attacks previously faced from Yul Edochie’s camp, leaving their staff drained and demoralized.

“It becomes profoundly difficult to fight those who bullied Queen May when her own supporters exhibit equal or even greater hostility,” the statement read.

The organization further said Queen May’s inability to rein in this increasingly toxic faction contradicts the level of trust and cooperation necessary for legal representation.

“Our staff are human, and I have a duty to protect their well‑being. Queen May was a victim of marital abuse and betrayal, and she deserves justice and societal protection. DPA unequivocally condemns the actions of Yul and Judy that triggered this conflict. We stand firmly against forced polygamy, consistent with our belief in equal rights for both men and women,” the statement added.
