‘No Project Will Be Abandoned’ – Aiyedatiwa
The governor assured residents that his administration would not abandon any ongoing project initiated by previous governments.
“Our administration will not abandon any project. We will build upon existing foundations while rolling out new, people-oriented initiatives,” he declared.
Recalling his administration’s achievements within its first 100 days in office, Aiyedatiwa highlighted the commissioning and flag-off of numerous life-changing projects across the state.
Responding to concerns about the gradual constitution of his executive council, the governor said:
“I understand those who felt the council should have been inaugurated all at once. But governance is not a sprint; it is a marathon. Slow and steady wins the race. What matters is consistent effort and tangible results.”
He reaffirmed his government’s dedication to sustainable development, anchored on a seven-point agenda codenamed OUR EASE, which focuses on economic growth, food security, education, healthcare, infrastructure renewal, enhanced security, youth empowerment, and social welfare.
“We are in a hurry to implement policies and programmes that guarantee all-round development for our Sunshine State,” Aiyedatiwa added.
The governor urged the commissioners to immediately hit the ground running:
“Carry out your duties with integrity and patriotism. Always put the collective interest of our people first.”
He charged them to foster cordial relationships with civil servants, respect due process, and work collaboratively with their ministries’ accounting officers and top officials.
To party loyalists and stakeholders yet to be appointed, Aiyedatiwa reassured them:
“There is room enough for everyone. Governance provides endless opportunities for all who are willing to serve.”
The governor concluded by reaffirming his administration’s unwavering commitment to transparency, accountability, and excellence, expressing confidence that the new commissioners will deliver on Ondo State’s development aspirations.
