CDS Charge Nigerian Army, You’re Incomplete Without Eliminating At Least One Boko Haram Fighter....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Christopher Musa, has called on Nigerian Army troops to adopt a proactive approach and actively pursue Boko Haram terrorists. He delivered this message during his address to the troops of Operation Hadin Kai at Maimalari Cantonment in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state, on Tuesday. Musa emphasized that rather than waiting for Boko Haram terrorists to initiate attacks, the troops should take the initiative by seeking out and eliminating them in their hideouts.

Musa underscored that it is incorrect for soldiers to be stationed in the theater and simply react to attacks. He emphasized that any soldier deployed to the theater should aim to kill at least one terrorist. According to him, the key to ending the conflict lies in actively pursuing and eradicating the terrorists.

He said, “Do not just come to the theater and stay idle; make sure you locate and eliminate Boko Haram insurgents. Any soldier who comes to the theater and leaves without killing at least one Boko Haram member is incomplete. We must actively search for them, as this is the only way we can ultimately defeat them. They should not be searching for us; we should be seeking them out. Do not wait for them to attack first; there is no such thing as a defensive action. Go out and find them and neutralize them.”

Reports indicate that nearly all lawmakers voted in favour during Wednesday’s plenary session, with no opposition and only three abstentions. The bill now awaits presidential approval to become law.

According to Naija News, the proposed law also targets the “promotion” or “financing” of homosexuality, aiming to crack down on organisations supporting sexual and gender minorities. Fines for the offence have been raised to a maximum of 10 million CFA francs ($17,609), though it remains classified as a misdemeanour rather than a crime. Lawmakers argued that the previous 1966 legislation was too lenient.

The bill categorises homosexuality alongside necrophilia and bestiality under “acts against nature” offences but also criminalises false accusations of homosexual acts without proof.

Currently, over 30 of Africa’s 54 countries criminalise same-sex sexual acts. Senegal now joins nations such as Kenya, Sierra Leone, and Tanzania, where penalties can reach 10 or more years in prison. In Somalia, Uganda, and Mauritania, the offence can carry the death penalty.
