DDG has expressed frustration with life in Los Angeles and described his eagerness to start a new chapter in Lagos. He took to X, stating, “I’m so tired of living in LA. I can’t wait til I move to Lagos, Nigeria.” The rapper had previously hinted in January 2025 that he was considering moving to either London or Lagos after becoming increasingly dissatisfied with his life in the United States.
The custody dispute with Bailey has attracted public attention, with the actress previously accusing DDG of abuse and obtaining a temporary restraining order against him.
In a separate development, American singer Akon is experiencing a major change in his personal life as his wife, Tomeka Thiam, has filed for divorce just days before their 29th wedding anniversary. Court documents obtained on September 12 indicate that Tomeka is seeking to end the marriage due to irreconcilable differences. She is requesting joint legal custody and sole physical custody of their 17-year-old daughter, Journey.

When the appointment was first announced, Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, highlighted Aina’s deep background in digital infrastructure, public-sector reforms, and national examination systems, noting his historic milestone as one of Nigeria’s youngest computer engineering professors.
In his inaugural address, Aina acknowledged the foundation laid by his predecessor—who is widely credited with modernizing the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)—and vowed to expand on those achievements. Emphasizing a strong stance against malpractice, he warned wrongdoers that their illicit activities have no place at JAMB, promising to ramp up modern technological investments and deepen partnerships with security agencies to safeguard the integrity of the admissions process.
