Peter Okoye Testifies Against Brother Jude in N1.38bn Fraud Case

The ongoing feud between the Okoye brothers of P-Square, Peter, Paul, and Jude, has taken a dramatic turn as Peter Okoye testifies against his elder brother, Jude, in a case involving an alleged N1.38 billion fraud. The testimony was given before Justice A. Owoeye at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Peter, represented by his lawyer, Afolabi I, brought forward accusations against Jude and his company, Northside Music Limited, claiming they were involved in financial misconduct, which led to their referral to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Jude faces a seven-count charge, which includes allegations of money laundering and fraud.
One of the charges asserts that in 2022, Jude and Northside Music Limited illegally acquired a property in Lagos valued at ₦850,000,000, knowing it was funded by unlawful proceeds. Jude has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
During his testimony, Peter recounted the history of P-Square, revealing that the group had been disbanded in 2017 but reunited in 2021. He also highlighted long-standing issues with Jude’s management of the group, particularly concerning access to their finances. Peter revealed that Jude was the sole signatory to their bank accounts, causing friction within the group.
Peter shared several troubling instances, including when he was denied access to financial statements and account details despite numerous attempts to address the situation. He described how he discovered discrepancies in the financial records, including the mismanagement of their music catalog and the creation of a company named Northside Music Limited, which appeared to be a parallel entity to their own.
Further evidence was presented that suggested funds owed to Peter were being misdirected, with various financial documents indicating significant tampering and manipulation of the accounts. Peter’s testimony also revealed that his inquiries into the matter were met with resistance, and his efforts to reclaim control over the music catalog were thwarted by his brothers.
In court, Peter expressed frustration at the lack of transparency, and his attempts to address the situation were described as ineffective, as both Jude and Paul failed to provide clear answers or solutions. He also discovered that Jude and his wife controlled the majority of Northside Music Limited, further complicating the situation.
The case continues as Jude faces multiple legal challenges, and the Okoye brothers’ personal and professional tensions remain at the forefront of public attention.

Iyanya Denies Taking Sides in Wizkid–Davido Feud: “I’ve Got No Enemies”

Afrobeats singer Iyanya has responded to public accusations suggesting that he has chosen sides in the long-standing feud between fellow Nigerian superstars Wizkid and Davido.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The controversy follows renewed tension between Wizkid and Davido, which escalated through public exchanges on social media last year. Iyanya, who previously collaborated with Wizkid on the track “Sexy Mama”, was recently accused by a user on platform X (formerly Twitter) of switching loyalty to Davido after he openly praised the latter’s music.
The fan, identified as @Akubasteeny, commented on Iyanya’s post saying, “I thought Wiz was your friend. I’m just wondering why you switched sides and turned into Davido’s boy.”
In response, Iyanya made it clear that he harbors no animosity toward any artist and supports all of his colleagues equally. He emphasized that the rivalry narrative is often fan-driven and doesn’t reflect the reality among the artists themselves.
“I don’t have an issue with any artist. I played Wizkid’s ‘Made in Lagos’ and ‘Morayo’ just like I play every other artist’s songs. Most artists won’t say it out loud, but we’re usually the first to check out new music from our peers. It’s part of our work,” he explained.
Iyanya added that he frequently listens to projects from emerging acts as well, including Fireboy’s ‘Adedamola’ and Joeboy’s ‘Viva Lavida’ albums. He also pointed out that his music circle remains intact, noting that he recently had a great time with Burna Boy at a club just weeks ago.
“Stop pushing this ‘friend or no friend’ narrative,” he urged fans. “It’s you guys trying to create a division that doesn’t exist.”

Seyi Law Slams P-Square: You Performed for Buhari But Condemn Tinubu

Nigerian comedian Seyi Law has taken aim at popular music duo, P-Square, accusing them of hypocrisy over their opposition to President Bola Tinubu’s administration.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
In a recent conversation with media host Teju BabyFace, Seyi Law criticized P-Square for their past involvement with the All Progressives Congress (APC), despite their current stance against the ruling party. He recalled that the same artists who now oppose the APC had once performed at Muhammadu Buhari’s presidential inauguration in 2015.
Highlighting what he sees as inconsistency among entertainers, the comedian said many in the industry worked against Tinubu simply because the APC did not nominate former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo. He argued that even if Osinbajo had been the party’s flag bearer, critics would still have used Buhari’s legacy to discredit him.
Seyi Law added, “They performed ‘E No Easy’ joyfully for Buhari, but now turn around to vilify Tinubu. These same entertainers shift support from party to party but claim moral superiority.”
The comedian’s comments come amid rising tensions between pro- and anti-Tinubu celebrities, especially after P-Square publicly backed Labour Party’s Peter Obi during the 2023 elections.
