Kemi Olunloyo Distances Herself from Late Father, Rejects Condolences

Kemi Olunloyo, daughter of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Dr. Victor Omololu Olunloyo, has publicly announced that she will not be receiving condolences over her father’s recent passing on April 6.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Taking to Facebook, the media personality reiterated her detachment from the Olunloyo family, emphasizing that she had severed ties as far back as 2024 and had vowed never to return to Nigeria—even in the event of her parents’ demise. She has since been sharing her thoughts and personal experiences via video posts on TikTok.
In a strongly worded video message, Kemi stated, “I am not part of the Olunloyo family anymore. If anyone wishes to pay their respects to my father or his family, they should do so through his Facebook page.”
Although she noted that she had forgiven her father, she continued to express deep resentment over what she described as years of emotional and physical abuse, alleging that he created turmoil in their household. “He presented himself one way to the world, but at home, he was someone entirely different,” she said.
Kemi further accused her late father of engaging in occult practices, asserting that he was deeply involved in juju rituals until later in life, when he sought spiritual redemption through Pastor E.A. Adeboye.
She also recounted the family conflict that arose following her father’s marriage to Ronke Sonaike, later known as Aderonke Olunloyo. According to Kemi, this union triggered intense unrest, particularly when Ronke became pregnant—causing tension with her mother. She went on to claim that her stepmother once attempted to poison her mother, leading to hospitalization.
“The crisis in our home began the moment Ronke entered the picture,” Kemi lamented, describing that era as one filled with pain and spiritual conflict.
Additionally, she alleged that towards the end of her father’s life, he was isolated from the rest of the family, with no access granted to them following a stroke he suffered in 2021.
Despite her forgiveness, Kemi concluded by stating she remains estranged from both her stepmother and the Olunloyo family, maintaining that the wounds from her upbringing remain deeply etched.

Tinubu, Shettima Win Praise as NAHCON Overcomes ATM BTA Controversy

The Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman Pakistan, has publicly expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima for their decisive intervention in resolving the recent controversy over the issuance of Basic Travel Allowance (BTA) to intending pilgrims via Automated Teller Machine (ATM) cards.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
According to Professor Pakistan, the timely involvement of the Presidency led the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to reverse its earlier directive mandating ATM card issuance instead of cash for pilgrims, a move that had sparked widespread concerns.
While acknowledging the inevitability of global technological evolution, the NAHCON Chairman emphasized that such innovations must be integrated thoughtfully, in line with local culture and societal readiness. He stressed that progress must respect the realities on the ground, especially for predominantly rural and elderly pilgrims who are unfamiliar with modern banking systems.
He further pointed out the practical challenges with the ATM policy, highlighting the limited availability of machines in Makkah and Madinah — cities that annually host millions of pilgrims. In many of the areas where Nigerian pilgrims reside, he noted, it is rare to find even five functional ATMs.
Professor Pakistan underscored the need for proactive strategies by Hajj officials to prevent future public outcry and ensure the BTA system is both efficient and accessible. He also disclosed that, after the conclusion of this year’s pilgrimage, NAHCON will convene a stakeholders’ meeting under the guidance of Vice President Shettima to develop a long-term solution.
