Kwam1 Declares Celestial Church Membership, Says He Built a Parish

Renowned Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, has publicly affirmed his membership in the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), stating that he not only attends services but has also built a parish.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Kwam1, who is a practicing Muslim, made this revelation in a pre-recorded interview with Agbaletu TV on Wednesday. The Celestial Church of Christ, commonly referred to as Cele, is a white-garment Christian denomination founded by the late Samuel Oshoffa, known for its distinctive worship style, including white robes and barefoot services inside church premises.
Speaking on his spiritual journey, Kwam1 shared that his quest to know God led him to explore both Islam and Christianity. He expressed pride in his affiliation with the Celestial Church and insisted that his religious exploration has been fulfilling.
“I am a proud member of the Celestial Church. I even built a parish,” he declared. “I have searched for God through different religions, and I do not regret my journey.”
His statement comes shortly after he sparked controversy with his use of the phrase Ganusi in reference to some Islamic clerics ahead of his mother’s burial. The comment led to widespread criticism, with many interpreting it as a jab at clerics who attend such events primarily for financial gain.
Despite calls for an apology from some religious leaders, Kwam1 has remained firm, insisting that his remarks were not intended to offend anyone.

Kwam1 Blasts Kollington Over Silence During His Mother’s Burial

Renowned Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as Kwam1, has publicly expressed disappointment towards his mentor and elder colleague, Ayinla Kollington, for failing to offer condolences following the passing of Kwam1’s mother.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Kwam1’s mother passed away on January 18, 2025, and was buried the same day in line with Islamic customs. During a recent interview on Agbaletu Radio with On-Air Personality Bamidele Adeyanju, Kwam1 recounted his support for Kollington during the burial of Kollington’s mother. He revealed that he not only stood by him but also took on full financial responsibility, bringing in dignitaries, including state governors, to ensure a befitting farewell.
He voiced frustration that despite this significant effort, Kollington neither attended his mother’s funeral nor properly reached out. Kwam1 criticized the excuse reportedly given by Kollington—that he called but his call wasn’t answered—as being deeply insufficient and hurtful.
“I’m really upset with Alhaji Kollington. I handled everything for him when he lost his mother. I brought in top dignitaries and paid all the bills. And now, when I lost mine, he didn’t show up or even offer proper condolences. That’s unfair,” he stated.
The heartfelt interview has sparked reactions online, especially among Fuji music fans, many of whom have expressed sympathy for Kwam1.

Iyanya Denies Taking Sides in Wizkid–Davido Feud: “I’ve Got No Enemies”

Afrobeats singer Iyanya has responded to public accusations suggesting that he has chosen sides in the long-standing feud between fellow Nigerian superstars Wizkid and Davido.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The controversy follows renewed tension between Wizkid and Davido, which escalated through public exchanges on social media last year. Iyanya, who previously collaborated with Wizkid on the track “Sexy Mama”, was recently accused by a user on platform X (formerly Twitter) of switching loyalty to Davido after he openly praised the latter’s music.
The fan, identified as @Akubasteeny, commented on Iyanya’s post saying, “I thought Wiz was your friend. I’m just wondering why you switched sides and turned into Davido’s boy.”
In response, Iyanya made it clear that he harbors no animosity toward any artist and supports all of his colleagues equally. He emphasized that the rivalry narrative is often fan-driven and doesn’t reflect the reality among the artists themselves.
“I don’t have an issue with any artist. I played Wizkid’s ‘Made in Lagos’ and ‘Morayo’ just like I play every other artist’s songs. Most artists won’t say it out loud, but we’re usually the first to check out new music from our peers. It’s part of our work,” he explained.
Iyanya added that he frequently listens to projects from emerging acts as well, including Fireboy’s ‘Adedamola’ and Joeboy’s ‘Viva Lavida’ albums. He also pointed out that his music circle remains intact, noting that he recently had a great time with Burna Boy at a club just weeks ago.
“Stop pushing this ‘friend or no friend’ narrative,” he urged fans. “It’s you guys trying to create a division that doesn’t exist.”
