Military Pledges Strong Action Against Criminals, Assures Of Security In Southern Kaduna

During a visit to the military cantonment in Samaru, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Thursday, General Musa assured the public that the military is determined to restore peace and stability.
“We are focused on completely removing the criminal elements causing insecurity. Nigerians deserve to live in peace, and we will not rest until that is achieved,” he said.
The CDS explained that his visit to the Samaru military base was aimed at assessing and enhancing the operational readiness of forces tackling insecurity in Southern Kaduna and surrounding areas.
He praised the troops for their professionalism and dedication, emphasizing that their well-being remains a top priority.
“Your sacrifices are greatly appreciated. We are committed to improving your welfare and ensuring you have the necessary support to perform your duties effectively,” he added.
General Musa also urged the soldiers to remain disciplined and professional, stressing the importance of respecting human rights while fulfilling their responsibilities.
Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar, commander of Operation Safe Haven and General Officer Commanding the 3rd Division of the Nigerian Army, also encouraged the troops to continue their efforts in securing the region.
During the visit, General Musa and his team, including senior officers from the Defence Headquarters, paid a courtesy visit to the palace of the Chief of Kagoro. There, he reiterated the military’s commitment to fostering unity and security in the area.
Senator Sunday Marshal, representing Kaduna South, praised the military’s efforts and assured the public that there will be improved collaboration between the civilian population and security forces.
