The tragic incident, which also claimed the lives of four other crew members, sent shockwaves through the film industry. In a poignant Instagram post, Adanma revealed how deeply the loss affected her, describing the period following his death as an extremely dark and painful time in her life. The emotional burden was compounded by harsh criticism on social media. The strain was so overwhelming that she felt compelled to stop breastfeeding her three-month-old baby. Despite the darkness, she found support in movie producer Uche Nancy, who offered her encouragement and comfort during the tough period. Adanma shared, “With so many tears in my eyes, after so much pressure and expenses in April, I reached out to this beautiful soul @uchenancy, and she reassured me, saying, ‘Ada, don’t worry. I’m here for you. Let me know if there’s more I can do.’ She spoke with such compassion and gave me reasons to stay strong and alive, even though I was deeply depressed and contemplating suicide.” The emotional toll left her feeling detached from everything around her, and Adanma acknowledged the negative impact of social media during this time. The Nigerian Government, through the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC), has cautioned content creators against photographing or recording videos of unsuspecting members of the public without their consent and sharing them on social media.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The warning was issued on Friday in a statement by Babatunde Bamigboye, Head of Legal, Enforcement, and Regulations at the NDPC, in Abuja.
Bamigboye stated that such activities violate citizens’ rights to informational self-determination, as guaranteed under Section 37 of the 1999 Constitution and the Nigeria Data Protection Act.
He noted that the commission has been alerted to cases where individuals capture images or videos of unsuspecting people for entertainment purposes online. He cited an example of a content creator who reportedly stood by Lagos roadsides filming unsuspecting members of the public for a reality show.
The commission emphasized that processing someone’s image in these circumstances requires their consent, unless the creator can justify it under another lawful basis for data processing. Preliminary investigations indicate that these actions constitute a deliberate invasion of privacy and serve neither public interest nor any legitimate purpose.
Bamigboye said, “In any event, the data subjects involved have no expectation that their images will be captured and shared with the world by an unknown individual.”
He added that Vincent Olatunji, NDPC National Commissioner, has instructed social media platform owners to strengthen enforcement of their community guidelines to prevent such violations.

According to reports, the incident occurred when unknown individuals forced their way into the vehicle and carted away several valuables, including a laptop, mobile phone and bank cards.
The artistes later took to social media to share images and videos showing the damaged car while explaining what happened.
Khaid disclosed that some of his personal belongings were taken during the incident, including his passport, hard drive and several music files. Meanwhile, Pheelz described the experience as both chaotic and frightening.
Khaid wrote: “Just got robbed in Cali. My passport to travel, my laptop, my hard drive… all my songs.”
Pheelz also reacted to the incident, writing: “Got robbed in Cali. Thank God for life. One of the craziest nights of my life for sure.”
It remains unclear whether the robbery has been officially reported to local authorities or if any suspects have been identified.
In a separate development, an Ebute Metta Chief Magistrates’ Court ordered the remand of four officers of the Nigeria Police Force accused of shooting traders at the Owode Onirin International Spare Parts Market.
The officers — Manu Bala, Jibrin Samaila, Ibrahim Garuba, and Ibrahim Kashimu — were remanded at the Kirikiri Custodial Centre pending legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Paul suffered a double jaw fracture during his sixth-round stoppage loss to Joshua in December at the Kaseya Center in Miami. He had hoped to return to training later this year, but recovery has taken an unexpected turn.
Speaking at a news conference for Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano, Paul said the titanium plates and screws from his first operation had loosened, prompting corrective surgery in February.
“I recently had my second surgery. The doctor said it will take four to six months before I can spar and check how the bone is healing. That pushes a potential fight to late this year or early next year,” Paul explained.
The setback means the 27-year-old could remain out of the ring well into 2027 if rehabilitation follows the expected timeline.
Paul also confirmed he would no longer pursue heavyweight fights, noting that Joshua’s punching power was far beyond what he faced in lighter divisions. His next bout, whenever it happens, is expected at cruiserweight.
“Joshua’s punches hit much harder than anyone in my weight class. Cruiserweight is where I’m strongest and where I want to climb the rankings and make statements,” he said.
Meanwhile, Joshua is also recovering from his own setback. According to Naija News, the former world champion has been undergoing rehabilitation after a car crash on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on December 29 that killed his close friends, trainer Kevin Ayodele, and long-time recovery therapist Sina Ghami.
The British-Nigerian fighter is receiving intensive treatment for rib injuries, with promoter Eddie Hearn aiming for his return to the ring in July.
