The state government’s decision to undertake this project, as explained by Jagunmolu Akande Omoniyi, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Housing, is expected to increase the housing capacity within the state. It will also provide housing solutions to support the emerging Remo Zone Economic Hub, which is anticipated to attract a significant influx of workers, and complement the state government’s investments in the Gateway Agro-Cargo Airport.
Jagunmolu further detailed that each housing unit will be made available to the public at two pricing options: N8.5 million for the basic carcass option and N15 million for fully finished units, with mortgage options facilitated through Gateway Mortgage Bank.
He elaborated that the estate will be comprehensively equipped with essential amenities, including proper drainage and well-constructed road networks, a robust security system, adequate lighting, water supply infrastructure, recreational facilities, healthcare, and educational institutions. Additionally, a Fire Service Station will be established to serve the emerging economic cluster.
Jagunmolu also highlighted the project’s potential to stimulate the local economy, with an estimated 5,000 artisans and over 50 service providers (suppliers) expected to work on-site.
He emphasized that this initiative will provide livelihood opportunities for over 20,000 residents, considering the multiplier effect of engaging 5,000 artisans.
The construction project is slated for completion within a six-month timeframe.

ACCOUNT LOCKDOWN: Fresh Court Documents Expose Secret Order Freezing Three Osun Accounts!.
Fresh documentation has brought to light that the Federal High Court in Abuja granted the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) an order to freeze three bank accounts linked to the Osun State Government, citing an ongoing probe into alleged money laundering and the diversion of public funds.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The legal filing, presided over by Justice M.G. Umar on August 5, 2026, impacts the state’s Federal Allocation Account at First Bank along with two Joint Allocation Accounts at Zenith Bank. This development follows public discussions surrounding the anti-graft agency’s actions ahead of upcoming electoral events, and trails a directive from President Bola Tinubu urging the commission to seek the vacation of the freezing order to avoid perceptions of political interference, despite recognizing the statutory powers of the agency.
Prior to the presidential intervention, the EFCC stated that its investigations into the handling of various state funds began earlier in the year and that the asset restrictions were enforced following suspicious financial movements detected in early August to prevent fund dissipation. In response, the Osun State Government initiated legal action against the EFCC and First Bank, contending that the asset freeze disrupted critical obligations such as salaries, pensions, and public services, while seeking a court order to lift the restrictions alongside substantial damages.
