In a campaign launch event held on Thursday, Athan Achonu, the gubernatorial candidate representing the Labour Party in Imo, pledged his unwavering commitment to addressing the issue of insecurity in the state if elected. Speaking at the Chioma Ajunwa Sports Complex in Nguru, Mbaise LGA, Mr. Achonu decried the unacceptable level of insecurity in Imo and vowed to put an end to the violence and bloodshed plaguing the region.

Ihejiagwa emphasized that the people of Mbaise had been denied a well-deserved and popular victory in 2019, and the campaign’s starting point aimed to convey the LP’s commitment to addressing their grievances when elected in November.
