Fashola Stance And Service To Nation Over Prestigious Titles In Tinubu’s Leadership....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Former Minister of Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola (SAN), expressed that he doesn’t require a title to serve in the President Bola Tinubu-led administration, which, in his perspective, is nurturing the upcoming generation of leaders. Fashola, a close associate of Tinubu, made this statement during an interview at Lagos State University, Ojo, where he delivered a keynote address at the institution’s fifth research and innovation fair.

The former Lagos State Governor, who also served as Tinubu’s Chief of Staff during Tinubu’s tenure as governor, was responding to inquiries regarding his role in the current federal administration and the possibility of an appointment.

He emphasized, “I do not need a title to serve; the president can only appoint at least one minister, for example, from each state, which he has done. There are only so many positions in parastatals, and they are already doing that. We are estimated to be 200 million people, so there aren’t enough offices to accommodate everyone. All of us must fulfill our roles as citizens, and a citizen doesn’t require a title to serve. The most significant title you need is that of being a citizen and playing our role. We are also thinking about the next generation. If some do not move on, where is the place for the next batch?”

Fashola underscored the importance of involving more exceptional individuals with a sense of public service in positions as they evolve. He eagerly anticipated the inclusion of more young individuals in the administration.

Tinubu applauded the leadership of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society, particularly its President, Alhaji Abdul-Rafiu Sanni, and members of the National Executive Council, for their unwavering commitment to the Society’s founding ideals. He recalled with pride the longstanding relationship between his lineage and the organisation.

Addressing the relevance of the conference’s theme, Tinubu stressed the importance of constructive societal engagement while upholding Islamic principles. He encouraged the gathering to develop bold, practical solutions to challenges ranging from youth empowerment to economic inclusion and moral leadership.

He reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to building an inclusive and prosperous Nigeria under the Renewed Hope Agenda, focusing on economic recovery, poverty alleviation, and the restoration of public trust.

Tinubu emphasized the need for partnerships with credible, value-driven institutions like Ansar-Ud-Deen to achieve national goals. He expressed gratitude for the Society’s consistent prayers and counsel, urging them to continue their efforts as advocates for unity and national progress.
