A tragic incident occurred at Otedola Bridge along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, resulting in the death of an unidentified male in a lone truck accident. The accident took place on Tuesday, compelling authorities to advise motorists to seek alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.

The truck driver was descending a hill from Mobil Filling Station toward Otedola while attempting to avoid a collision with another vehicle.

In the process, the driver lost control of the truck, which subsequently crashed into the side of the bridge. The driver’s compartment was left hanging over the bridge, spilling some of its cargo (wheat) onto the road, effectively blocking the entire route beneath the bridge toward Otedola Estate.

Tragically, a young adult male, one of the truck’s occupants, fell from the bridge and lost his life in the accident. LASEMA has dispatched a crane to swiftly remove the impediment and address the aftermath of the accident.
