Tragedy Strikes Enugu Community As Unidentified Assailants Claim Three Lives....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Over the weekend, tragedy struck the Agbada Nenwe community in Aninri Local Government Area of Enugu State as three community members fell victim to unidentified assailants. The incident has plunged the community into turmoil, as the masked attackers remain unknown.

The victims, identified as Mr. Hillary Uche, a well-known block and cement dealer at Orie Agu market; Kingsley, a motorcycle parts dealer whose full name remains unconfirmed; and another young man known as FM, whose real name is yet to be determined, all lost their lives in the attack.

Reports suggest that the masked gunmen traced their victims to their residences and shops, where the fatal attacks occurred. Two of the victims, Kingsley and FM, were reportedly dragged from their homes to the village square and killed, while Hilary was shot inside his shop at Orie Agu.

After conducting a fruitless search, the assailants set a house on fire before departing. A resident of the community expressed deep concern over the incident, stating, “Nobody knows who the people are. Some arrived on motorcycles, while others came in a vehicle. Fear has gripped everyone, and panic pervades the area. Such a thing has never occurred here before.”

The Enugu State police command has confirmed the incident and is actively pursuing the perpetrators. According to the command’s spokesman, Daniel Ndukwe, “Discreet investigation and a manhunt operation are underway to apprehend the as-yet-unidentified armed hoodlums.”

Court Fixes April 13 Judgment In Suit To Sack David Mark, Rauf Aregbesola As ADC Leaders.

Justice Musa Suleiman Liman of the Federal High Court in Abuja has fixed April 13 for judgment in a suit challenging the leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), including Senator David Mark and former Minister Rauf Aregbesola.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The case was filed by House of Representatives member Leke Abejide, who is seeking an order restraining Mark and Aregbesola from parading themselves as national chairman and secretary of the party.

Abejide, in his suit, also asked the court to nullify the alleged transfer of leadership of the ADC and stop the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from recognising the duo in any official capacity.

During proceedings on Friday, counsel for all parties adopted their arguments for and against the suit, after which the judge scheduled judgment for April 13.

The defendants, including the ADC, Mark, Aregbesola, former party chairman Ralph Nwosu, and INEC, urged the court to dismiss the case, arguing that it concerns internal party affairs which are not subject to judicial intervention.

They also maintained that the plaintiff lacked legal standing and that the leadership process in question followed due party procedures.

INEC’s counsel also joined in seeking dismissal of the suit, describing it as lacking merit.

The court is expected to deliver its ruling on the matter on the scheduled date.

The workers, made up of Christians and Muslims, gathered at the Al-Huda Mosque in Jalingo for special prayers, seeking divine help over their prolonged hardship.
