Breaking: Court Of Appeal Dismisses Appeal Over PDP Ibadan Convention.

The senator, who represents Kogi West Constituency, made the remarks while inspecting some of the city’s current projects as part of the committee’s oversight function over the weekend in Abuja.

Other projects assessed include continuing rehabilitation work at the National Assembly, the Abuja Mass Rail Transit System’s operations control center, the Gosa dump site and landfill, and the Wupa sewage treatment facility, as well as the Department of Development Control’s structures and equipment.

Senator Adeyemi, who condemned vandalism in the city, adding that measures must be made to safeguard and preserve all facilities, including as traffic lights, train tracks, manholes, and electricity installations.
He asked Nigerians to protect public facilities developed for their benefit, and he urged the FCTA to include security and maintenance components in proposed project budgets.
Sen. Adeyemi praised FCT Minister Malam Muhammad Musa Bello for his dedication to completing priority projects in the Territory.
In response to the issue of critical infrastructure security, Shehu Ahmed, the Executive Secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority, stated that the FCT Security Committee had mandated the FCT Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps to ensure the security of such facilities throughout the FCT.


Meanwhile, FCTA Director of Facility Maintenance, Omoniyi Olaloye, noted that the solar street lighting program became required due to limited power supply from the national grid.

Olaloye said that approximately 4000 solar-powered street lights have been put across the city so far, with more installations planned.
