on

There are indications that the 22 governors on the governing All Progressives Congress platform would play key roles in gathering campaign funding for the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
This comes as some members of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Council criticized governors on the party’s platform for failing to release funding for Atiku Abubakar’s presidential campaign.
In addition, the Labour Party stated that it will rely on donations from supporters and well-meaning Nigerians to fund its campaign. It did, however, state that it would not spend large sums of money on its campaigns.
Many Nigerians had queried how political parties would raise funds for their campaigns. There have also been insinuations that the two major parties, APC and PDP, will rely on their governors.

Already, opposition parties have accused the governing party of stashing away public funds for the election, while the APC in turn accused the PDP of corruption.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The statement explained that Malami had met all the requirements earlier set by the EFCC in relation to allegations of money laundering and abuse of office—claims he has consistently denied. It added that the anti-graft agency later imposed additional conditions, including restrictions on media engagements and a ban on participating in political activities within Kebbi State.

Doka maintained that Malami committed no violations, arguing that the EFCC withdrew the bail only after he attended a political gathering in his home state, which did not constitute a legal or procedural breach. He further noted that prohibiting Malami from political involvement in Kebbi was unconstitutional and amounted to an infringement on his rights to freedom of movement, association, and political participation.
